Ayushman Bharat
Ayushman Bharat, a flagship scheme of Government of India, was launched as recommended by the National Health Policy 2017, to achieve the vision of Universal Health Coverage (UHC). This initiative has been designed to meet Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and its underlining commitment, which is to “leave no one behind.”
Ayushman Bharat is an attempt to move from sectoral and segmented approach of health service delivery to a comprehensive need-based health care service. This scheme aims to undertake path breaking interventions to holistically address the healthcare system (covering prevention, promotion and ambulatory care) at the primary, secondary and tertiary level. Haryana Government
The Haryana Employees Cashless Health Scheme is a cashless policy of the Haryana govt, this scheme is for government employees and registered pensioners in the state who are eligible to receive cashless medical services up to a sum insured of Rs. 5 Lakhs. Introduced in 2017 by the government in Haryana
The following are the main features and benefits offered by the Haryana Employees Cashless Health Scheme to the beneficiaries:
- This scheme is only for the Haryana State Government employees and pensioners.
- The spouse or dependents of the policyholder will not get the cashless benefit under this health scheme.
- However, the spouse or dependents of the policyholder may get the reimbursement benefit under the health scheme.
- The maximum sum insured under the Haryana Employees Cashless Health Scheme is ₹5 Lakhs.
- If the treatment costs exceed ₹5 Lakhs, the extra amount would have to be covered by the policyholder.
- The Haryana Government will issue special ID cards for policyholders which will be linked to their Aadhaar Cards to avail of this scheme.
- The Haryana Government pensioners will have to carry their ‘Pension Payment Order’ (PPO) cards as proof of identity to avail of this scheme.

ESI
ESI stands for Employee State Insurance which is managed by Employee State Insurance Corporation. It is a contribution made by employees as well as employers to support Indian employees to take part in self-financed, healthcare, insurance funds. ESI is a social security scheme that provides social-economic protection to employees in the event of sickness, maternity, accident, or any other kind of emergency.
The ESI Scheme is governed under the ESI act 1948 and provides full medical care till the employee is back to a normal healthy condition. As per the scheme, any organization with more than 10 employees (in some states 20 employees) who have a maximum compensation of INR 15,000/- has to register with the ESIC. It provides financial support to compensate for the loss that occurred due to sickness or any other medical reason.

ECHS
Ex-Servicemen Contributory Health Scheme (ECHS) was launched with effect from 1st April 2003. The Scheme aims to provide allopathically and AYUSH Medicare to Ex-servicemen pensioner and their dependents through a network of ECHS Polyclinics, Service medical facilities, Government hospitals, impaneled private hospitals/specified Govt. AYUSH hospitals are spread across the country. The Scheme has been structured on the lines of CGHS to ensure cashless transactions, for the patients and is financed by the Government of India. Matters relating to the Ex-Servicemen Contributory Health Scheme have been allocated to the Department of Ex Servicemen Welfare after its creation in September 2004. Later vide Notification dated 29th January, 2009 ECHS has been designated as an attached office of the Department of Ex-servicemen Welfare. The Central Organisation of ECHS is headed by a Managing Director, a serving Major General.
The Scheme is managed through the existing infrastructure of the Armed Forces so as to minimize the administrative expenditure. The existing infrastructure includes a command and control structure, spare capacity of Service Medical facilities (Hospitals and Medical Inspection Rooms), procurement organization for medical and non-medical equipment, Defence land and buildings,.
